College of Science Scholarships & Awards

The College of Science offers a number of scholarship and award opportunities for incoming freshmen, undergraduates and graduate students. As deadlines and the number of awards vary, students are encouraged to review the information for each scholarship and award individually.

Each scholarship application requires letters of recommendation. Academic or research faculty who are asked to write a letter should be provided a signed Permission to Release Waiver form, and a copy should be submitted to the College of Science Dean’s Office (220 JTB).

Applicants who apply for multiple scholarships and/or awards with the College of Science Dean’s Office are required to submit only ONE official transcript for each of the schools they attended (high school, University of Utah, and/or other colleges/universities) by the application deadline.

If the scholarship you are applying for requires you to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) you must initiate the FAFSA application by the scholarship application deadline. Your FAFSA file must be completed by the On-Time File Completion date of April 1, 2010, to be considered for the scholarship.
